Summer Learning Journey Week One/Day Three Activity 1

Week One, Day Three
Activity 1 Fantastic Beasts (4 points)
Success Criteria: On your blog, post a description of your beast. Use interesting adjectives
(describing words) to tell us about your beast.

One beautiful christmas morning a tall obese giant awoken. His big feet stormed through the small town of Greymouth. His heavy feet woke every little child that was asleep, but only the children. Children run to their christmas tree thinking it was the real santa. Then suddenly a scary big footed monster had stormed in. “Santa?” asked a little child. It wasn’t santa it was a fake one with a disgusting green suit with a deep blood red hat. Boom!
The door had been opened, little elfs like sidekicks appeared. The tall obese giant with a big black sack hanging over its shoulder had snuck to the vibrant christmas tree taking all the gifts, leaving nothing behind. “Ha Ha Ha!” The giants deep voice echoed through the house as he went through the door. “No more Christmas, I’m going to stop this once and for all!” whispered the scary giant.

  1. Hi Jennae, its your favourite brother Jack here! I really like your strong descriptive language you had wrote to go with your crazy beast. This was a very good paragraph of you describing your mythical beast, I could almost imagine what it had looked like. This reminds me of the Grinch by him trying to destroy christmas as well.
A question for you is would you want to publish your own book on a story realted to this?
    From your brother Jack.

  2. Hello Jennae,

I'm Evelyn and I am working with the Summer Learning Journey team for 2018-2019 to read and follow amazing blog posts like yours! I am so excited to read what pops into that wonderful brain of yours and hope you are having fun on this journey!

What a mysterious beast you have created, I wonder what it looks like. Does your beast have a name? I would love to know it! I don't think I would want to meet your beast though, it doesn't sound like it would be too friendly... I wonder what your beast likes to eat or do? I think stealing Christmas presents might be his hobby!

I love the way you have used adjectives to describe your beast, I can picture your beast clearly in my head so thank you for that. I hope your beast didn't get in the way of your Christmas and ruin it for you! Would you be brave enough to meet your beast?

    Happy blogging,
    Evelyn :)
