Te Uru game

WALT participate in the learning of others.
Success Criteria: Be active, participate in a new cultral game.
: use our listening skills, watch, ask questions and practise.

On tuesday a class called 10CH from Greymouth High School came to Karoro School and they had taught room 1 a game called Te Uru.We are doing this because it builds on our trasition to high school.

There was three groups that room 1 were split up in. In my group 
there was me, Grace, Caitlyn, Lincon, Zoe, Caleb and Joshua.
The class from the high school split up as well in 3 groups to show 
us different skills and drills for the game. 
The first drill my group got taught was defending and getting the ball off the oppisition we also passed the ball around. The second one we went to was learning how to catch the ball with one flat hand and learn how to jump on a cone. The last one was just saying someones name before you threw it to them. My favourite 
drill was the one that was like piggy in the middle and you triedd 
to get out of the middle by intercepting the ball. I would suggest that they have two games playing at once and four even teams because we would all get even amount of turns and
