Jake Bailey Speech

Jake Bailey Speech

Jake Bailey Speech

On Wednesday the 31st of July this 21 year old, Jake Bailey visited our school. Jack Bailey was here to tell us heaps of | things. He told  us about his battle with cancer, how to be brave and how individuals can be happy and what its like to be in a bad situation and to have resilience. Jake Bailey was paired with the Life Education for him to be able to come to Karoro School and to speak to us.

Jake Bailey was telling the senior school heaps of things like how to be happy. He said,  “Things that might have made you happy, now since you have been through a rough time they might not make you happy again.”  Jake was telling us about bravery. “Bravery,” he said, “ reminded him of the ANZACs.” He got many visitors telling him how brave he was but he  thought he wasn’t at all. Jake felt like he was really scared. Jake had many worries in school like if he got into trouble and forgetting to do his homework. Little things like that he said, “I didn’t think of my little worries, there was more to worry about than little things.”

Jake talked a lot about having resilience by keeping on doing what you're doing and never giving up.

Jake Bailey had one major thing to say to everyone that was very important. What he had to say to all of us was, “ You need to take every opportunity to give everything you do 100% and to be your very best for those who can’t.”

Jake Bailey was a very motivational speaker. He was very inspiring and made people change what they think of their lives.
